검색엔진의 분류

겸색엔진의 분류		특징 및 해당하는 곳
주제별 카탈로그		특정 주제별로 각 페이지들을 분류하여 정리해 놓은 검색엔진이다. 코리아 디렉토리, 야후, 라이코스, WWW Vritual Library등이 해당한다.
키워드형 검색엔진	일반 키워드형 검색엔진	웹페이지의 타이틀 ? 본문에 있는 문구를 하나의 데이터 베이스로 구축해 놓고 특정 주제어 또는 검색어를 입력함으로써 원하는 정보를 찾는 방법이다. 알타비스타, 라이코스, 웹크롤러등이 해당한다.
	Front-End형 검색엔진	여러개의 검색엔진을 한곳에 모아 검색하기 편리하게 만든 도구이다. All-in-One, CUSI, 서치콤등이 해당된다.
	지능형 검색엔진	멀티쓰레드 기법을 통해 한번의 검색으로 여러 검색 엔진을 동시에 검색할 수 있게 한 것이다. Savvy Search, All 4 one, IBM의 인포마켓(InfoMarket) 등이 해당한다.
